Quick fixes for the most common issues.
Keep pressing > during calibration until liquid appears, and check that the BEAKER and nozzle are correctly fitted.
Check that the nozzle is correctly fitted and clean — a loose or dirty nozzle deflects the stream.
Usually points to a dosing or bath issue. Compare your result with the photo and review the dosing.
Indicates air in the circuit. Recalibrate until the liquid runs clean and continuous.
Clean the auger and the tube — alginate residue contaminates the sphere.
Reduce the amount of alginate and clean the tube before the next batch.
Increase the alginate slightly, following the recipe.
Very fatty sauces can hinder spherification — adjust the recipe or reduce the fat.
